Junior Software Developer job at ITA International – United States.

ITA is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our team remotely in the National Capital Region. Please note this position is contingent upon successful contract award expectedSpring 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design technical solutions to support rapid software development in projects related to supply chain analysis, production line modeling, and process improvements.
  • Create baseline software and/or database products.
  • Collaborate with senior developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions.
  • Modify and enhance existing software and/or database products.
  • Write and perform unit tests and peer reviews of technical products.
  • Troubleshoot, correct, and test code defects.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings and Agile software development processes.
  • Follow established government standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FISMA, NIST, CMMI) in software development and security practices.
  • Work within the team's development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to deadlines and project milestones.
  • Assist with maintaining and improving software deployment pipelines.
  • Model the ITA core values of Quality, Integrity, and Respect.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree (e.g., Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field) from an accredited 4-year institution.
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript).
  • Basic understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
  • Strong communicator, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
