As a Help Desk Technician, you will be part of a world-class team delivering mission-critical solutions that redefine what’s possible in AI, cloud, and enterprise data center needs. You will provide technical support to Switch internal end users, maintain computer desktop environments, and support the internal IT Helpdesk by troubleshooting, installing hardware/software, and managing system configurations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide telephone or electronic 1st level technical support for Windows environments, applications, email, enterprise applications & databases, security issues, desktop and server hardware/software, and production equipment related issues.
  • Offer helpdesk support both on site and remotely using tools such as Remote Desktop or Bomgar, ensuring end user satisfaction.
  • Monitor and respond quickly to requests received through the IT helpdesk and manage the ticketing system with first-in first-out priority.
  • Troubleshoot problems using desktop remote control products and document all services provided.
  • Modify configurations, utilities, and software default settings for local workstations.
  • Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software and document internal procedures.
  • Assist with onboarding new users, including setting up workstations and deploying standard hardware, images, and software.
  • Manage inventory of equipment, software, and licenses while ensuring proper user and computer account assignments in Active Directory.
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to promote a customer-focused IT environment.

Required Qualifications

  • An associate degree in a related Information Technology field or at least one year of equivalent job experience.
  • Certification in COMPTIA A+ and COMPTIA Security+ is required.
  • Experience administering Windows domains utilizing Active Directory, server operating systems, performance monitoring systems, scripting/automation, and Windows deployment utilities.
  • Ability to document, update, and implement system design.
  • A customer-focused mindset with exceptional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Technical knowledge of advanced PC diagnostics and familiarity with the Microsoft Windows Platform.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation for travel between Switch locations.
