Job Description

Position Overview

Garratt-Callahan is seeking a motivated Technical Sales Territory Manager to cover the Fresno to Bakersfield, California territory. In this role, you will sell wastewater, boiler, and cooling tower water treatment chemicals and equipment with unlimited commission potential. Enjoy the flexibility of working from your home in the Central Valley while focusing primarily on selling and building relationships with industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell water treatment chemicals and equipment to a diverse portfolio of industrial customers.
  • Maintain an existing customer base while generating new business through cold calls.
  • Collaborate with veteran sales professionals and technical support teams.
  • Capitalize on the company’s nationwide expansion by promoting innovative solutions.
  • Represent a stable, profitable company with a strong reputation in water treatment.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a four-year technical degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least one year of technical sales experience related to water treatment chemicals.
  • Familiarity with the Central Valley industrial marketplace is preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced technical degree or relevant military technical training (e.g., Navy Nuclear Propulsion, Army CBRN School).
  • Experience selling to industrial customers and in a competitive sales environment.
