Job Description

Position Overview

At Johnson & Johnson, we believe health is everything. Our innovative MedTech Sales team is seeking a Sales Associate based in Indianapolis, IN to join our Orthopaedics division. In this role, you will provide exceptional clinical and customer support in hospitals and surgical procedures, leveraging your product expertise to drive market share and improve patient care across our comprehensive orthopaedics portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the DePuy Synthes sales organization in retaining existing customers and driving product conversions with new customers.
  • Achieve established sales goals and market share objectives in the assigned territory.
  • Apply your knowledge of the sales process and product portfolio to improve sales outcomes.
  • Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room by leveraging clinical and product expertise.
  • Present, demonstrate, and ensure the accurate utilization of DePuy Synthes products.
  • Attend surgeries to support customers by ensuring proper equipment availability and optimal tray setups; provide consultation for Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, manage customer requests, and assist with hospital billing and purchase order processes.
  • Share key customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic teams.
  • Prepare sales reports and documents as needed.
  • Oversee maintenance, tracking, and deployment of equipment to ensure consistent product availability.
  • Maintain promotional materials in a presentable manner and ensure that all service offerings meet the highest quality standards.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention by enhancing their understanding of the tangible and intangible value of DePuy Synthes solutions.
  • Differentiate our products from the competition through unique customer insights and technical expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, or relevant Medical Certification (e.g., CST, PT) with a minimum of 2 years of professional and/or related experience; alternatively, a minimum of 4 years of experience or recent transition from active military duty.
  • Ability to work effectively in a laboratory or operating room environment.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license and willingness to travel, including weekend and overnight trips, as required by the territory.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and proactive with a positive attitude.
  • Preferred: Solid technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and protocols.
