Junior Support Engineer

Position Overview

Contitech Industries, part of Continental AG and headquartered in Hannover, Germany, contributes significantly to Continental’s turnover. The Digital and Data Services team caters to all business units and envisions innovative software products using web, mobile, IoT, AI, embedded systems, data science, and engineering. We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of our software and systems while working closely with a diverse team of technology experts. Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support, including troubleshooting and detailed ticket documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and document procedures.
• Contribute to the development of new features in collaboration with senior developers.
• Assist with the build and deployment of new software updates.
• Maintain a proactive approach to professional development by exploring emerging technologies and IT operations best practices.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in NodeJS and Angular or other front-end technologies.
• Experience working with the AWS cloud platform.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture.
• Knowledge in PHP, .Net, C#, SQL Server, RESTful API, and MVC architecture.
• Understanding of tools for unit testing, CI/CD, and code quality.
• Willingness to learn mobile development technology (Flutter).
• Familiarity with the BMC tool.
• Around 1 to 3 years of overall experience.
• BE in Engineering (Computer Science/Software Engineering), MCA, or a related discipline with strong technical focus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Proficient understanding of ITIL processes, operations, and support procedures.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work effectively in a highly international team.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, GIT, and Jenkins.
