Job Description
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will assist the Project Manager and team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Manage field operations, staff, subcontractors, and on-site personnel.
- Conduct site visits, scheduling, submittals, daily reports, and as-builts.
- Oversee layouts and control points.
- Perform quality control, inspections, and materials testing inspections.
- Ensure on-site efficiency and safety while implementing a safety program.
- Estimate costs and prepare contracts.
- Meet with clients and subcontractors.
- Monitor expenditures and draft progress reports.
- Mitigate risk, ensure compliance, and evaluate environmental impact.
- Keep project information up to date in Procore by managing RFIs, RFPs, Bulletins, drawings, job set-up specifications, and documents.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer (minimum 3 months).
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
- Familiarity with construction management software (ProCore, Prolog, Bluebeam, or Primavera) and Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% throughout Colorado.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and a “take ownership” attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent work experience).
- At least 3 months of experience in transportation, concrete, or heavy civil construction, including internships in related fields.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with construction management software such as PROCORE and Bluebeam is a plus.
- Prior construction experience in Roadway, Highway, or Heavy Civil projects.

- Competitive Salary: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
- Job Type: Full-time
- Work Location: In-person with approximately 90% fieldwork
- Work hours typically involve 8-hour weekday shifts; occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, or on-call emergency shifts may be required
