We are seeking an adaptable Recruiter on a contract basis through June to support high‐volume seasonal hiring across Canada and the United States. In this role, you will partner with Hiring Managers, Payroll, HRIS, and the People team to manage recruiting, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer administration, background checks, and onboarding using Workday ATS and HRIS.
Compensation: $20 - $30/hour dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support recruiting efforts across a range of roles, stepping in where volume or timing requires.
- Post and manage job requisitions in Workday ATS.
- Screen candidates, conduct interviews, and coordinate interview scheduling.
- Partner with Hiring Managers to align on hiring needs, priorities, and timelines.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment and offer process.
- Prepare, send, and track offer letters in Workday.
- Initiate and track background checks for applicable roles.
- Support the transition from offer acceptance to onboarding, ensuring accurate and timely communications.
- Maintain accurate candidate and hiring data in Workday.
- Jump in to support recruiting operations and coordination needs during peak hiring periods.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support hiring goals.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR coordination roles.
- Experience supporting high-volume or seasonal hiring environments.
- Hospitality, tourism, or service-based industry experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of ATS and HRIS systems; Workday experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage shifting priorities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience supporting U.S. and Canadian hiring is a plus.
