Position Overview
The Analyst I reports into the Manager, Business Intelligence for the Johns Hopkins Health System (JHHS) Supply Chain Analytics team. This role supports strategic supply chain initiatives across corporate, hospital, warehouse, and ambulatory clinical settings through data analytics, financial and capital analysis, performance metrics, contract review, and project management. The successful candidate will enable data-driven insights and collaborate with stakeholders including sourcing, value analysis, procurement, and inventory management.
Schedule: 40 Hours (Full Time), Day Shift, will work onsite 2-3 days per week

Salary: Minimum 31.06/hour - Maximum 51.29/hour
Compensation: Commensurate with equity and experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to strategic supply chain initiatives including data analytics, financial analysis, capital analysis, performance metrics, contract review, and project implementation.
- Enable and interpret data-driven analytics to support operational improvements for corporate, hospital, warehouse, and ambulatory clinical supply chain decisions.
- Collaborate with sourcing, value analysis, procurement, and inventory management teams as well as other key stakeholders.
- Support ongoing operations and transformational initiatives within the supply chain.
Required Qualifications:
- Qualifications: Strong understanding of analytical approaches for answering business questions.
- Understanding of analytics toolsets and architecture (e.g., relational databases, data mining, ETL, visualization).
- Understanding of supply chain operations in a healthcare setting.
- Education: A relevant bachelor's degree is required (e.g., computer science, informatics, management of information systems, data science, business, supply chain, engineering).
- Experience Required: At least three months of related experience in a supply chain, healthcare, or analytics environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using it in academic or professional settings.
- Experience querying SQL databases (e.g., T-SQL, Postgres, MySQL, PL/SQL).
- Strong data modeling, data visualization using Business Intelligence tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker), and effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and other supply chain systems, including inventory, procurement, and warehouse management processes.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Workday, Oracle; familiarity with SAP data/tables is a plus.
- Familiarity with programming languages commonly used for analytics (e.g., Python, R) is preferred.
- A Master's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Additional experience in supply chain, healthcare, or analytics environments is an advantage.
