Location: New York City, New York | Dallas, Texas | Boca Raton, Florida | Bloomington, Indiana
Compensation: Salary will be determined based on experience and office location.
Salary: $70,000—$98,000 USD

Work Authorization:

Must be legally entitled to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client lead on 3-7 accounts with effective leadership on multi-channel campaigns.
  • Lead client meetings to understand evolving goals, resources, and capabilities.
  • Recommend and execute SEO strategies aligned with clients’ broader business needs.
  • Conduct SEO audits and data analysis to inform the roadmapping process.
  • Guide the team to successfully execute SEO action items.
  • Proactively address performance or relationship issues with clients and keep the Group Account Director informed.
  • Communicate project vision to client stakeholders at all levels and address challenges as they arise.
  • Manage project scope, prioritize requests, ensure quality assurance, and meet deadlines.
  • Oversee client meeting preparation and ensure overall meeting success.
  • Provide strategic guidance to team members.
  • Respond to client communications promptly to maintain high client satisfaction.
  • Manage up to 2 direct reports and mentor additional team members using a strengths-based coaching approach.
  • Exemplify leadership by aligning with company priorities, managing stress effectively, and maintaining a positive team demeanor.
  • Delegate tasks, support team development, and prepare team members for independent client account leadership.
  • Develop and deliver internal training, or represent the agency externally through public speaking, blog writing, etc.
  • Foster an inclusive atmosphere and actively participate in wider company initiatives, such as new business pitches and internal marketing efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience managing SEO campaigns for a variety of clients with monthly management fees greater than ten-thousand dollars.
  • Minimum of 2 years of client-facing experience.
  • Experience with listing optimization management at scale.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Moz, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Majestic, STAT, and BrightEdge.
  • Experience in creating client strategy, managing communication, and proactively troubleshooting account performance issues.
  • Previous experience in an agency environment.
  • Prior people management experience.
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with the ability to provide actionable insights at all organizational levels.
  • Keen critical thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Business Apps, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
