Job Description

Position Overview

As the IT Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of our company's information technology systems. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently, and that our crew members onboard the cruise ship have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively. Location: Miami, FL, United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the information technology systems onboard the cruise ship
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems
  • Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements
  • Ensure data security and backup procedures are in place and functioning properly
  • Train and support employees on the use of technology systems
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and make recommendations for their implementation
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
  • Assist with the development and implementation of new technology projects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar IT role
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking systems
  • Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems and virtualization
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Experience in the maritime industry is a plus
