Position Overview

TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, delivering strategic talent solutions worldwide. Our client—a leading American multinational in information technology services and consulting—is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to be based in San Francisco, CA. This is a Contract and Onsite role for 6+ Months where you will play a key role in enhancing network security, identity management, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and improve identity and access management (IAM) systems, integrating secure authentication methods.
• Identify and resolve cloud security issues, leveraging automation to prevent and remediate misconfigurations.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and expand detection capabilities to enhance incident response.
• Assess firewall configurations, optimizing settings and policies to strengthen defenses, focusing on intrusion prevention, detection, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Evaluate and implement new features and automation to reduce false positives and improve overall system efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency with cybersecurity tools including Palo Alto Firewalls (Expert/8+ years), CrowdStrike Cybersecurity (Intermediate/8+ years), OKTA (Intermediate/4+ years), AWS Cloud Security, CSF Security, AWS Infrastructure, and Access Management.
• 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security engineering and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in configuring and optimizing firewall technologies and identity and access management solutions.
• Experience in endpoint security and incident response within cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF and CIS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in regulated environments is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Palo Alto firewalls, OKTA, AWS, and CrowdStrike.
