Position Overview

Our client is a leading cybersecurity firm specializing in blockchain technology. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Smart Contract Auditor to join their elite, fully remote team. This role is critical to ensuring the security and integrity of decentralized applications and protocols by identifying vulnerabilities in smart contract code, performing in-depth analysis, penetration testing, and formal verification across various blockchain platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive security audits of smart contracts written in Solidity and other relevant languages.
  • Identify, analyze, and document vulnerabilities including reentrancy, integer overflows, access control issues, and gas optimization flaws.
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis of smart contract code using various auditing tools and techniques.
  • Develop and execute penetration testing strategies to uncover potential exploits.
  • Write detailed audit reports communicating findings, risks, and remediation recommendations to clients.
  • Collaborate with development teams to facilitate the understanding and implementation of security fixes.
  • Stay abreast of the latest smart contract vulnerabilities, attack vectors, and blockchain security best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of new auditing tools and methodologies.
  • Mentor junior security analysts and share expertise within the team.
  • Participate in research and development of novel security solutions for the Web3 ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software security, penetration testing, or vulnerability analysis with a strong focus on blockchain and smart contract security.
  • Deep understanding of smart contract development, particularly in Solidity for Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.
  • Proficiency with smart contract auditing tools (e.g., Slither, Mythril, Echidna) and static analysis techniques.
  • Strong grasp of cryptography, common vulnerabilities in distributed systems, and secure coding principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reverse-engineering skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Experience working in a remote, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with formal verification methods is a significant plus.
  • Contributions to open-source security projects or active participation in bug bounty programs.
  • Relevant certifications in cybersecurity or blockchain security are advantageous.
