Position Overview
We are currently seeking an Associate Water Resources Engineer to join a dynamic department at a very reputable civil engineering firm located in Riverside, CA. Compensation: Salary range: $120,000 - $130,000
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater projects, pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs, and treatment facilities.
- Produce plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects.
- Assist in preparing various engineering reports, including alignment and feasibility studies, preliminary design reports, and Master Plans.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling of water and sewer systems.
- Coordinate engineering tasks during project construction such as permitting issues, submittal reviews, survey coordination, and change order review.
- Design mechanical-related projects including pump and lift stations, wells, treatment facilities, and site grading plans.
- Support multiple design teams and Project Managers.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to produce drawings, layouts, sketches, maps, and graphic representations of engineering designs using CAD software.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minimum of two years' experience in related projects.
- Possession of a PE license.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D is a plus.
- Working knowledge of planning and construction documents.
- Excellent technical and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on several concurrent projects.
- Ability to read, understand, and adapt to local agency standards and communicate directly and effectively with agencies and clients.
