Job Overview:
lifeschool (www.lifeschool.tech) is searching for a part-time, entry-level Content Creator & Strategic Director to join our growing startup. If you have experience organizing, hosting, and presenting online community events, this role is perfect for you. You will plan, recruit, host, and execute online webinars for people interested in home cooking, while also creating marketing content and managing our social media presence. Additionally, you will support the Japanese founder and CEO in areas such as fundraising, communication, and startup operations. You will play a key role in finding and inviting people who want to learn to cook and suggesting how to use our platform and AI to help them. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cooking, personal growth, and community building.
Responsibilities:
- Gain a deep understanding of the company's products and goals.
- Organize and facilitate community events, workshops, and webinars by hosting and moderating.
- Actively recruit and engage with potential users on social networks and other platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with users and influencers in the cooking and personal growth communities.
- Create and implement compelling marketing content, including articles, blog posts, and social media updates, to promote the lifeschool platform and its offerings.
- Manage and grow the company's social media presence, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
- Monitor and respond to user feedback and questions on various channels.
- Track data on the effectiveness of campaigns and community engagement.
- Attend regular in-person meetings with the team in the San Francisco office.
Requirements:
- Must have: a green card or US citizenship.
- Experience with online community management.
- Located in the San Francisco and able to attend in-person meetings.
- Passionate about: cooking, food and personal growth. (see the note below)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong written and oral abilities.
- Strong social media and networking skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
Note:
When we say "passionate about cooking, food, and personal growth," we're looking for active participation in culinary activities such as classes, workshops, or food-related community events, possibly even taking the initiative to organize or lead such activities. We don't require previous experience for this entry-level position. However, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for food and cooking through examples such as a personal recipe collection, photos of dishes they've created, or testimonials from those who have enjoyed their meals.
