As a Research Associate in the PHCS Assay Development Team, you will conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support Ventana projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You will design, execute, and interpret experiments, prepare scientific documentation, and participate in cross-functional product characterization studies while ensuring compliance with GMP, GLP, and Design Control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize experimental protocols with minimal supervision, designing methods to address diverse scientific problems.
  • Conduct and analyze bench experiments, maintaining detailed observations and accurate records.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses for project teams.
  • Suggest and implement improvements to work processes, laboratory environments, and project planning.
  • Collaborate as a productive team member and participate in cross-functional projects and failure investigations.
  • Train and mentor team members, troubleshoot challenges, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and maintain quality standards while promoting continuous improvement and compliance with established guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Biology with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of assay development in a regulated industry.
  • Experience with VENTANA automated slide stainers.
  • Proficiency in a range of laboratory techniques and in using word processing, spreadsheets, graphical, and presentation software.

  • Compensation: Annual salary range of $57,000.00 - $81,400.00 with a potential discretionary annual bonus based on performance.
