Member Services Cashier

Position Overview

As a Member Services Cashier, you play a pivotal role in creating a smooth and positive checkout experience—whether assisting at a manned register or guiding members through self-checkout. Key Responsibilities

• Greet members with a positive attitude and assist them through the checkout process.
• Scan merchandise accurately and complete sales using the POS system.
• Handle all types of payments—cash, credit, debit, and mobile—with precision and security.
• Issue receipts, give change, and respond to purchase-related questions.
• Help members use self-checkout machines and resolve minor technical issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized checkout area throughout your shift.
• Respond to member concerns or direct them to the appropriate department when needed.
• Adhere to company policies concerning customer service, safety protocols, and asset protection.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented retail environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with or willingness to learn POS systems and various payment methods.
• Able to stay focused and calm under pressure, especially during busy hours.
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in cashiering, retail, or customer service is helpful but not required.
