Copywriter & Marketing Communications Specialist

Position Overview

Fueling Success in this Role: VP Racing is seeking a Copywriter & Marketing Communications Specialist responsible for developing clear, compelling, and on‐brand copy across advertising, website and SEO content, promotions, email and SMS campaigns, and sales collateral. The role also supports public relations and media outreach, including drafting press releases and assisting with media communications, while working cross‐functionally to ensure effective and aligned messaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and edit press releases, media pitches, brand announcements, and campaign copy.
• Own and manage media lists across national, regional, and industry outlets.
• Research, pitch, and build relationships with journalists, editors, and media contacts.
• Support product launches, company announcements, and brand storytelling initiatives.
• Ensure all messaging aligns with brand voice, tone, and strategy.
• Track media coverage and outreach results.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Leadership on messaging and positioning.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Experience Required: Minimum two (2) years of experience in copywriting, marketing communications, or digital content creation, with experience writing for websites, promotions, advertising, and email marketing.
