Position Overview

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Part-Time
Location: Bakersfield Post Acute - Bakersfield, CA
Starting Pay: $42/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing with daily nursing operations
  • Supervise and mentor licensed and non-licensed staff
  • Monitor medication administration and treatment compliance
  • Conduct admissions, discharges, and evaluations
  • Make rounds to assess residents' physical and emotional well-being
  • Respond to changes in condition and communicate with physicians and families
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reports
  • Participate in staff training, care planning, and QA meetings
  • Support infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Valid California RN license in good standing
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience (long-term care preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to manage a team while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of PCC (PointClickCare) preferred
