Position Overview

CenterWell Senior Primary Care, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Medical Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for patient care. In this role, you will deliver direct patient care alongside varied administrative and operational duties in a fast-paced, high volume environment at our clinic located at 10180 West Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89147.
Key Responsibilities
- Discuss symptoms with patients and gather relevant health information.
- Input patient information into the electronic medical records system.
- Take vital signs and give injections as needed.
- Perform diagnostic tests, collect specimens, and draw blood.
- Sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to deliver direct patient care.
- Apply independent discretion within defined policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the COVID-19 vaccine or weekly testing protocols as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Active Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA). (Note: Currently certified individuals may be required to complete a Humana-approved certification program within one year from hire.)
- Experience in a fast-paced, high volume environment with proficiency in MS Outlook and basic computer skills.
- CPR certification and previous phlebotomy experience.
- Willingness to learn and be cross-trained in other roles based on business need.
- Ability to work at the clinic location and participate in TB screening programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (must speak, read, and write without limitations).
- Experience with HEDIS and Electronic Medical Records.
- Active Medical Assistant Certification or Registration from recognized entities (e.g., AAMA, National Healthcareer Association, ARMA, NAPH, or AMT).
- Minimum of one year of professional experience as a Medical Assistant in back-office direct patient care.
- Previous experience in a geriatric setting and possession of a Rad Tech License (AART) is a plus.

- Compensation: $34,500 - $47,400 per year with a bonus incentive plan based on performance.
