Job Description

Position Overview

Peters Engineering, a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firm providing services since 1969, is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer for our Sacramento office. This role involves engineering and design of construction documents, including specifications, analysis of various electrical systems, reports, studies, construction schedules, budgets, project management, construction administration, utility coordination, and client meetings. Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare construction documents and specifications
  • Perform analysis of electrical systems and prepare reports and studies
  • Develop construction schedules and manage project budgets
  • Oversee project management and construction administration
  • Coordinate utilities and conduct client meetings

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Licensed Electrical Engineer in California or ability to apply for reciprocity
  • Self-starter capable of managing multiple projects to meet client schedules and company budgets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in commercial building power and lighting, site lighting, architectural lighting design, lighting control design, fire alarm systems, and low voltage systems (telephone/data, clock, security)
  • Experience with data centers, hospitals, high technology industries, and industrial facilities (including medium to high voltage systems)
  • Knowledge of generator systems, UPS systems, arc flash analysis, breaker coordination and protective relay studies
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT
