Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to support secure hybrid cloud and on-premise architectures for mission-critical test and training environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work directly with government counterparts, and the motivation to continuously learn as mission needs evolve.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, articulate, technically confident, and able to operate on small agile teams supporting national security and space-based systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and implementation of secure hybrid (on-prem + cloud) infrastructure and data solutions for DoD test and training capabilities.
• Define software and hardware requirements to meet program computational needs across C++, Python, and Java workloads.
• Develop infrastructure engineering documentation including requirements, ICDs, system V&V plans, and acquisition support artifacts.
• Create and validate cybersecurity documentation for review and approval by DoD Authorizing Officials.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to internal IT staff in cloud architecture, modernization, and cloud integration initiatives.
• Collaborate with government teams to ensure mission readiness, cybersecurity compliance, and operational effectiveness.

Required/Desired Experience

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile DoD environment; comfortable wearing multiple hats.
• Strong cybersecurity understanding with exposure to DoD accreditation processes and security documentation (up to TS).
• Hands-on cloud engineering/architecture experience with AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Ability to independently scope and deliver technical tasks; excellent time management and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Solutions Architect Certification.
• Experience with software/full-stack development.
• DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
