Key Responsibilities
- Provide both direct and indirect patient care to enhance patient health.
- Organize clinical follow-ups and activities.
- Perform physical examinations and/or preventive health measures to assess and evaluate patients’ clinical problems and needs.
- Maintain and update patient charts, records, and information.
- Provide medical consultation in specialized areas of knowledge.
- Inform clients about their rights, options, benefits, services, goals, and expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Utah.
- Successful completion of a criminal history check.
- Ability to work safely with operating machines, contagious diseases, and hazardous chemicals while following special safety precautions.
- Physical capability to stand, walk over rough surfaces, bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, and lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly and/or for long durations.
- Ability to manage occasional exposure to potentially dangerous or unusual environmental stress situations.
- Understanding that Utah State Hospital is a non-smoking campus.
