Position Overview

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Customer Support & Administrative Coordinator for a mission-driven and rapidly growing organization in the e-commerce and publishing space. This is a full-time, on-site position based in New York, NY. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join a dedicated team supporting online customer service operations and general administrative functions. This dual-role opportunity offers meaningful engagement with both internal stakeholders and external customers, where the right candidate will bring enthusiasm, accuracy, and a collaborative spirit to a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, empathetic support to customers via online platforms (Gorgias or Zendesk) with an email-based approach.
  • Investigate and help resolve issues related to product shipments, delays, or missing orders.
  • Support refund inquiries and escalate for approval as needed.
  • Manage front desk duties, including welcoming guests, handling mail, and notifying internal teams.
  • Perform general administrative tasks and office coordination support.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in online-based, high-volume customer support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general administrative tools.
  • Strong attention to detail with a reliable, self-starting work ethic.
  • Hands-on experience with either Gorgias or Zendesk OR experience with Shopify, BigCommerce, or Magento.
  • Excellent written communication and organizational skills.
