Position Overview
CDK Global is a leading provider of cloud-based software to automotive dealerships and OEMs. We are seeking an experienced New Business Account Executive to prospect and sell our Modern Retail solutions to automotive dealerships. To be considered for this role, you must reside in Kansas or Missouri. This role involves managing key relationships, working with support teams in implementation and training, and covering a territory that includes Kansas, Missouri, parts of Illinois, Western Indiana, Western Kentucky, Western Tennessee, Central to Northern Arkansas, Central to Northern Alabama, and Northern Mississippi.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop target account pipeline based on existing industry relationships and company priorities.
- Acquire new dealer accounts, meeting or exceeding monthly quota targets.
- Manage negotiations effectively, resulting in win-win solutions.
- Proactively solicit feedback from dealer prospects and customers.
- Provide constructive feedback to Product, Dealer Success, and Integration teams to enhance and improve Roadster’s products and processes.
- Manage dealer target accounts and partners in Salesforce.
Required Qualifications
- Either 5+ years of automotive software solutions sales experience (including modern retailing digital solutions sales) or 5 years of automotive dealership experience in a high-volume role (e.g., BDC, Sales Manager, or Internet Director) with complex software sales experience.
- Proven ability to systematically develop account plans, generate new leads, and close business.
- Thorough knowledge of automotive retail processes and products, including financing, leasing, accessories, and service offerings.
- Strong understanding of dealer tools such as CRMs, desking solutions, and DMS products.
- High level of comfort with digital technology solutions and the ability to adapt quickly in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a customer-first mentality.
- Ability to travel 75% of the time, including overnight trips.
