Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced pain management practice. This dual-role position requires a hands-on clinical professional who can also provide leadership and support to the medical assistant team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in pain management or a similar specialty, excellent organizational skills, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Duties

  • Perform clinical duties including rooming patients, taking vitals, documenting in EMR, assisting with procedures, and preparing exam rooms.
  • Oversee and support the daily workflow of the medical assistant team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train, mentor, and provide guidance to new and existing medical assistants.
  • Collaborate with physicians, providers, and administrative staff to ensure quality care and efficient clinic flow.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards.

  • Proficiency in medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy healthcare setting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care and support to patients.

Qualifications

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA): preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience: as a medical assistant; prior experience in pain management highly preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience: strongly desired.
  • Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR): systems.
