Position Overview

In this role, you will perform advanced technical and engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations, acting as a technical expert and making critical decisions to ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs.
- Offer technical consultation as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
- Assume engineering and technical leadership accountability for both short-term and long-term programs that impact site operations.
- Perform engineering tasks in line with general engineering principles as directed by supervision.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work by maintaining proper configuration management and adhering to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes.
- Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
- Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
- Carry out additional assignments and duties as directed by management, including emergency response, departmental coverage, and support for outage activities.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) or related science; alternatively, a Professional Engineer License or Active/Inactive SRO License with a minimum of 5 years of engineering or related experience, including 1 year in a nuclear power plant environment.
- Maintain required access or unescorted access and meet favorable medical examination and/or testing standards in accordance with position duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory or managerial experience.
- Professional Engineer Registration and an advanced technical degree or related coursework.

- Salary: $156,600 to $174,000 per year, based on experience.
