Position Overview
At Rincon Research Corporation (RRC), our primary business is innovating, developing, and fielding digital signal processing products and services for the United States Defense and Intelligence Communities in support of national security. We are seeking a Software Engineer to create cutting edge software and cloud computing solutions to challenging national security and defense problems—including signal processing, geolocation, and communication. You will work in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment with skilled electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers. This position is located in Centennial, CO; Chantilly, VA; or Tucson, AZ.
Key Responsibilities
- Design real-time cloud processing solutions.
- Implement advanced signal processing and geolocation algorithms with efficient software.
- Test with real data and deliver applications to front-line customer facilities.
- Create effective user interfaces and data visualization tools.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and propose improvements—working unsupervised with minimal direction.
Required Qualifications
- Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a software engineering-related discipline.
- Proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability.
- Proficient in C++ and Python within LINUX environments.
- Demonstrated ability to design software systems that meet functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
- Able and willing to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance – US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in DevOps and Cloud computing (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP).
- Familiarity with Agile development processes.
- Ability to mentor other engineers and provide technical advice to project leaders.
- Current TS/SCI clearance.
