Position Overview

Join DePuy Synthes – part of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies – as a Sales Associate in Indianapolis, IN. In this role, you will provide high-level clinical and customer support in hospital and operating room settings while ensuring sales logistics, technical product expertise, and strong surgeon and account relationships. You’ll be at the forefront of innovative Orthopaedics solutions that help keep over 6 million people moving each year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the DePuy Synthes sales organization in retaining and expanding relationships with existing customers while supporting product conversions with new customers.
  • Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room by presenting and demonstrating products to ensure proper utilization.
  • Support customers by attending surgeries, ensuring available and performing equipment, and optimizing trays; provide consultation to the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance by handling customer requests, managing hospital billing, and processing purchase orders.
  • Share key customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic account teams to enhance service levels.
  • Maintain, track, and deploy equipment and assets within the assigned territory to ensure product availability and presentation of promotional materials.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction and retention by effectively communicating the tangible and non-tangible value propositions of DePuy Synthes products.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree, or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 4 years of professional and/or related experience, or recent transition from Active Military Duty.
  • Ability to work in a lab/operating room environment.
  • Valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including weekends and/or overnight trips, with residence in or readiness to relocate to the posted territory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, and problem solving; efficient, organized, self-motivated, positive, and pro-active.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions.
