Engineering Students Seeking Internship / Co-op Opportunities

Position Overview

ExxonMobil invites passionate engineering students to join as interns or co-op students for the 2026 season. Based in the Houston Area and other U.S. locations, you will work on projects that drive energy innovation and sustainability while learning from industry experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in diverse projects including mechanical integrity, process engineering and development, quality control, and test method development.
• Participate in facility tours and networking events, learning directly from senior leaders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across refining, pipeline, upstream operations, and research & technology.
• Gain hands-on experience while contributing to solutions that optimize energy, chemicals, lubricants, and lower-emissions technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in fields such as Chemical, Civil, Construction Engineering Management, Data Science, Electrical, Environmental, Industrial, Materials, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Petroleum, Petroleum Technology, or Reliability Engineering.
• Strong academic performance combined with effective leadership and communication skills.

• Compensation: Expected annual base salary range of $60,000 - $120,000, determined based on education, skills, and experience.
