As a Finance Associate within PNC's Retail Finance organization based in Pittsburgh, PA, you will work as part of a team in the Retail Lending group to support financial analysis and provide advice to senior management regarding the performance of PNC’s lending products.
In this role, you will prepare reports and perform financial analysis to support forecasts, budgets, and internal reporting processes. Your expertise in finance or accounting, along with your analytical skills and proficiency with technical tools, will be critical in “telling the story” of PNC’s performance. Please note, PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders, including precise revenue, expense, and staffing forecasts, and develops strategic insights from data.
- Contributes to the annual budget cycle, continuous monthly forecasting, and the development of long-term strategic plans with metric-driven performance dashboards and business insights for leaders and executives.
- Performs on-demand analysis and generates custom reports to address specific business needs while collaborating on the implementation and compliance of new accounting and regulatory standards.
- Facilitates audit, regulatory, and investor requests by providing timely and accurate information, identifying and addressing control matters, and maintaining robust internal control processes.
- Navigates cross-departmental professional interactions ensuring alignment with business objectives, including a strong customer focus and diligent risk management.
Required Qualifications
- Background in finance or accounting with solid financial and variance analysis skills.
- Proficiency with technical tools such as Hyperion and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- University/college degree (Bachelor’s) with 2+ years of relevant professional experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience.
- Experience in supporting financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
