Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Room patients; measure and record vital signs (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration).
- Complete patient interviews and history taking.
- Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments and explain procedures, assisting as ordered by a physician.
- Assist with examinations, carry out treatments, and perform special tests.
- Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms.
- Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine laboratory tests.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant: High School Diploma or equivalent along with at least one of the following:
• A diploma from a Medical Assistant Program
• Minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience
• Military Medic training
• EMT-P (Paramedic) training
• Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education. - Licensed Practical Nurse: Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing, with a current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio, ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards, knowledge of proper procedures for administering medications and patient care aids, and a compassionate team-player attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant Certification – Certified Medical Assistants receive additional compensation for obtaining and maintaining their certification. If not yet certified, take advantage of our tuition reimbursement program to help cover certification costs.
