As a Sr Electrical Engineer, you will support highly technical and advanced manufacturing processes by designing, developing, and quality-controlling complex engineering projects. You will also manage projects and provide technical consultation, applying advanced engineering technologies and innovative problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as an authority within the area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability.
  • Performs project planning and manages project resources, including multiple individuals and disciplines, to achieve quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
  • Monitors and analyzes electrical testing of products and troubleshoots test failures, coordinating with stakeholders to adjust test limits and develop rework processes on defective products.
  • Writes technical reports on experimental results and incorporates findings into formal specifications.
  • Transitions design agency concepts into production by coordinating activities between engineering, quality, manufacturing, and related organizations.
  • Leads the development of operating procedures, work instructions, and inspection criteria for new products and components.
  • Defines and recommends design changes, experiments, and necessary equipment to ensure product quality.
  • Plans and performs engineering testing using advanced statistical and scientific methods to resolve critical engineering and production problems.
  • Determines the acceptability of processes and materials in conjunction with customers, design agencies, and other affected organizations.
  • Provides technical consultation to management and leads technical project teams.
  • Evaluates and implements innovations and technological advances to improve quality, reduce flowtime, improve productivity, and enhance operational surety.
  • Leads, trains, and mentors junior engineers on various test processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering or Physics
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in engineering or related technical activities
  • United States Citizenship
  • Regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the job
  • Ability to obtain and maintain, if required, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance

  • Demonstrates knowledge of manufacturing or quality processes and techniques
  • Proven ability to work independently with latitude for decision making
  • Experience in providing technical guidance, project management, and innovative solutions
  • Proven track record in project leadership
