Job Description

Position Overview

Supports Employee Services, an internal human resources team, providing first tier operational and administrative support to employees and the public regarding District Human Resources. Handles a high volume of inquiries in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides first tier information about Benefits, Staffing, Compensation, Training, Career Development, Performance Evaluations, Employee Self Service Systems, Guest Teachers, Employee/Labor Relations, and Employee events; handles a high volume of calls and email inquiries, escalating as needed and forwarding to appropriate resources within the department.
  • Assists employees with questions and various Human Resources (HR) form and application processing, such as benefit plan enrollment/change documents.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system issues for the online application system, employee self service portal, and HR website.
  • Maintains logs and completes reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Supports HR communication and change initiatives that go out to all employees from Human Resources (e.g., open enrollment, incentive payments, staff reductions).
  • Maintains current knowledge on all aspects of HR policy, benefits, and related information, including eligibility, policies, procedures, vendor contact information, and costs.
  • Provides support for records management, I9 compliance tracking, and related human resources duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • One to three (1-3) years of customer service experience or one (1) or more years of HR onboarding or HR technician/analyst/generalist experience.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.
  • Ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.
  • Works collaboratively with others on a team.
  • Proficiency in collaborative software such as Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of calls and email.
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado.
  • Ability, with or without accommodations, to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a high volume recruitment or staffing environment or in an inbound call center is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with data entry and HRIS software is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
