Mechanical Engineer
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Familiar with different HVAC system types and their applications
- HVAC systems selection, sizing, and design (ductwork and piping)
- Experienced with Mechanical Codes and Energy Efficiency Standards
- Engineering experience with energy efficiency, developing or supporting performance-based projects or energy services
- Perform Heating, Cooling Load Calculations and Title 24 Compliance calculations using Energy-Pro and eQuest programs
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to write technical proposals and reports
Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree: in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience: 3+ years' experience in HVAC Design
- CEM, EIT: highly preferred
- Knowledge: of OSHPD codes are a plus
- Decision making: Independent decision making is required
- Computer skills: using MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP or Revit is a plus.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Compensation Range
Compensation Range: $125,000 - $135,000 per year
