Mechanical Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Familiar with different HVAC system types and their applications
• HVAC systems selection, sizing, and design (ductwork and piping)
• Experienced with Mechanical Codes and Energy Efficiency Standards
• Engineering experience with energy efficiency, developing or supporting performance-based projects or energy services
• Perform Heating, Cooling Load Calculations and Title 24 Compliance calculations using Energy-Pro and eQuest programs
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to write technical proposals and reports

Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree: in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 3+ years' experience in HVAC Design
• CEM, EIT: highly preferred
• Knowledge: of OSHPD codes are a plus
• Decision making: Independent decision making is required
• Computer skills: using MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of AutoCAD MEP or Revit is a plus.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range: $125,000 - $135,000 per year
