Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the logistics operations of IKEA, ensuring the timely and efficient flow of goods from suppliers to stores.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve and streamline logistics processes.
- Collaborate with suppliers, warehouse teams, and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Monitor and analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and deliveries.
- Coordinate with transportation companies to schedule and track shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations.
- Proactively identify and address potential issues or delays in logistics operations.
- Train and supervise logistics team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on logistics operations.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand and minimize stockouts.
- Collaborate with the sales team to forecast demand and plan accordingly.
- Continuously evaluate and improve logistics processes to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service at all times.
