Position Overview
Meteor Education, also known as ATC, is dedicated to transforming learning experiences in schools by aligning pedagogy, space, and technology. As a Solutions Design Specialist within ATC Sales Midwest reporting to the Vice President of Sales, Midwest Region, you will serve as a consultative sales expert collaborating with project teams to design and implement innovative, impactful educational solutions. Compensation: $70K-$75K, plus commission. This full-time role is based in Minneapolis, MN or surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand the unique needs of each educational client to design tailored solutions.
- Serve as a consultative partner guiding clients through complex decisions and aligning solutions with institutional goals.
- Build and maintain long-lasting customer relationships by prioritizing client needs.
- Leverage in-depth knowledge of Career and Technical Education equipment, educational technology, and emerging trends to design innovative solutions.
- Stay updated on industry developments and demonstrate thought leadership.
- Collaborate with internal project teams and external partners to co-create integrated technical, pedagogical, and spatial designs.
- Engage cross-functional teams to develop cohesive, well-rounded solutions.
- Act as a liaison among stakeholders to ensure all perspectives are considered in the design process.
- Oversee the full process of solution design and implementation, ensuring measurable, positive outcomes.
- Track outcomes, gather feedback, and implement improvements as needed.
- Provide ongoing support to clients post-implementation to maintain alignment with educational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Consultative selling approach; self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
- Minimum 3 years of field sales experience; experience in the K+ education market is a plus.
- Proven track record of proactively securing new business and efficiently managing a large pipeline of accounts.
- Expertise in prospecting, territory management, time management, presentation, negotiation, closing, and customer service skills.
- Experience identifying, qualifying, and closing B2B deals ranging from $5,000 to over $50,000.
- Ability to think, plan, and act strategically with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screening.
- Proficiency in business applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and web searching.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently, both domestically and occasionally internationally.
