Job Description

Position Overview

Connect people and communities by offering best-in-class telecommunication services through door-to-door solicitation of new prospective customers. Applicants must be able to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

  • Acquire new residential customers through door-to-door contact from assigned leads.
  • Conduct proactive consultative needs analysis with new prospective customers.
  • Develop and present sales presentations/proposals on products and services that meet customers’ needs.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork to support sales activities in line with quality control guidelines.
  • Participate actively in all sales meetings and training programs as assigned.
  • Achieve monthly sales quotas in high-speed data, mobile, landline phone, and video sales.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to products sold according to department policies.
  • Keep informed about competitors' activities and relay any changes in competitive pricing or tactics.
  • Attend and successfully complete training programs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Engaging interpersonal skills with the capability to listen, formulate needs-based sales strategies, and articulate pitches effectively.
  • A passion to succeed paired with strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (including during inclement weather) using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems, software applications, and various consumer/commercial communication devices.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed to maximize customer contact.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior success in a sales position, prospecting, or cold calling; direct sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services, especially data networking fundamentals, with the ability to educate consumers on related products.
  • Minimum of 2+ years in sales or relevant work experience.
