Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our portal ecosystem. In this role, you will focus on production support, performance optimization, and automation to streamline software deployment and enhance system resilience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2/3 support across portal services by troubleshooting issues in test and production environments and leading root cause analysis for continuous improvement.
- Monitor system performance, implement tuning strategies across application layers, databases, and infrastructure, and drive initiatives to improve latency and throughput.
- Design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and metrics using tools such as CloudWatch and Grafana to ensure comprehensive system observability.
- Develop automation scripts and tools for deployment, scaling, and recovery while managing AWS resources with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Champion SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets) by collaborating with software engineers, DevOps teams, and product owners, and mentoring team members on operational excellence and resilient architecture.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen on US soil.
- At least 5+ years of experience with Java and Microservice Architecture, and overall professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.), automation frameworks, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK, Datadog) as well as containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, CloudFront, EKS, RDS, S3, etc.) and relevant certifications.
- Experience in application development using Java Microservices with the Spring Boot framework.
- Experience in frontend development (JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as VueJS) along with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

- $103,711 - $138,281 in select states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY.
- $108,896 - $145,195 in select states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI.
- $114,082 - $152,109 in select states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA.
