Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Marketing & Communications:
    • Assist in the implementation of the NEFHSC’s communications strategy and plan.
    • Ensuring uniformity of content/messaging and consistent alignment with NEFHSC brand standards.
    • Coordinate and execute e-mail campaigns, meet deadlines, and track/report email analytics.
    • Develop and maintain marketing collateral for NEFHSC programs (e.g., promotional flyers, brochures, fact sheets).
    • Review and ensure quality of marketing distribution lists; create lists as needed.
    • Design and edit graphics for print or web as needed.
    • Develop news releases and garner earned media coverage; coordinate media interviews with the CEO or other spokesperson(s).
    • Coordinate and develop newsletters, blog posts, social media posts, articles, and other communications.
    • Maintain compliance with all anti-spam laws.
    • Coordinate the production of video content for use on the NEFHSC website, presentations, and social media.
  • Website Management:
    • Serve as the primary administrator of the NEFHSC’s content management system (CMS).
    • Work with staff and subject matter experts to develop relevant content and maintain web standards.
    • Collaborate with staff and web vendors to improve the usability, design, and content of the website.
    • Monitor and report regularly on website analytics and take corrective action when needed.
    • Manage and inform the renewal of website domain names.
    • Manage vendor relations with web development companies and troubleshoot website issues.
  • Social Media:
    • Coordinate and execute social media campaigns ensuring alignment with overall marketing strategy and the NEFHSC mission.
    • Manage the social media editorial calendar and consistently post valuable, shareable content.
    • Monitor and report on social media outreach, including weekly and monthly reporting.
    • Manage vendor relations and budgets for social media efforts and management tools.
  • Other:
    • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Coalition.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 2 years’ experience in marketing or communications.
  • Excellent writing skills with an emphasis on generating content for the web and social media.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines on time.
  • Highly driven and results-oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments as prescribed.
  • Must be a team player and communicate effectively.
  • Must be committed to the Coalition vision and passionate about its mission.
  • Requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and automobile insurance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or journalism.
  • Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Knowledge of HTML, PHP, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with email solution providers (e.g., Mail Chimp).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA and relevant standards.
  • Must be able to travel to alternate locations.
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear while performing job duties, with extensive computer use.
  • Must have sufficient hand dexterity for keyboard use and screen reading.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 25 pounds.

Additional Information

  • This is a hybrid position that splits time between remote work and in-person office attendance.
  • Position Funding: This position is dependent upon the continuation of funding and may terminate when funding is no longer available.
