Position Overview

As a Sales Lead, you will play a critical role in fueling growth by proactively advancing and securing sales within your designated territory while servicing the needs of existing accounts with consultative selling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represents the voice of the customer.
  • Services the needs of existing customers within the assigned territory.
  • Educates customers on the right products for them.
  • Uses informed selling to introduce new products and close gaps in existing distribution.
  • Visits accounts frequently to provide service and maximize revenue potential.
  • Establishes an individual sales plan considering customer needs and geographies for effective outreach.
  • Collaborates with customers to understand and support their business strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Follows up to ensure orders are delivered accurately and promptly.
  • Responsible for merchandising activities (e.g., stocking shelves, building displays) when no support rep is available.
  • Continuously develops sales skills and knowledge of the organization’s products, services, and customers.
  • May work nights and weekends on promotional and other account activities.

Required Qualifications

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-6 months of related experience and/or training.
  • Current, valid state driver’s license and ability to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Strong client skills with the ability to understand customer needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree (preferred).
  • Previous experience in the Wine and Spirits industry.
  • Industry certifications such as CSW, CSS, WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or Sake Specialist.
