Job Description

Position Overview

Colorado Academy (CA) seeks a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support the Human Resources Director and serve as a key resource for all faculty and staff. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and possess a strong sense of ownership over HR processes and employee support functions. This is a full-time, year‐round position beginning on January 6, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Business Office, including visitor management and general customer service support.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal regulations; audit and archive files for accuracy.
  • Manage both electronic and paper Business Office files as needed.
  • Keep current with HR policies, procedures, and employment law compliance.
  • Support the recruiting process: post job openings, manage applications, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle including recruiting support, onboarding, status changes, and offboarding.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and assist with department integration.
  • Maintain and update CA’s HR Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including Paycom, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assist with system audits, reporting, and process improvements within HRIS and ATS.
  • Provide confidential HR support and direct employees to appropriate resources.
  • Offer administrative and operational support to the Business Office and assist with special projects.
  • Manage the Pop-Up School Store: schedule openings, track inventory, and serve as the point of contact during events.
  • Partner with the Security Team to support administrative tasks such as system scheduling and documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards aligned with CA’s mission and values.
  • Abide by all policies outlined in Colorado Academy’s Employee Policy Book.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; a focus in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in an HR or administrative office environment is required; direct HR experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HR systems and technology, including Paycom, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and database management tools.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Windows, Office products, and Google products.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to work effectively with employees, parents, students, and the broader school community.
  • A positive attitude, flexibility, empathy, and a willingness to learn and take initiative.
  • Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with Paylocity is preferred.
  • Prior experience with Blackbaud is a plus.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: Salary range $65,000–$75,000. This range is a good faith estimate and may be adjusted based on experience, education, and qualifications.
