Job Description

Position Overview

Help Desk Technical Support 3 based in Newport News, VA. This is a 6‑month contract position. Compensation: Pay $23.03‑$30.00/hr. Must be a US Citizen. 1st Shift – HYBRID. (No C2C or third‑party resumes accepted.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolve technical problems and answer queries by telephone in support of internal and external customer computer hardware, software, network, and telecommunications systems.
  • Diagnose, identify, isolate, and analyze problems using historical database records.
  • Route calls to product line specialists as needed.
  • Maintain and update records and tracking databases.
  • Alert management to recurring issues and problem patterns.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree and 3 years of experience, or a relevant professional certification as a substitute.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Experience providing technical support over the telephone and/or chat.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Shift includes weekend rotations; start date not sooner than 9/3/2024; mostly remote.
  • Experience supporting various applications including MS Office, O365, VPN apps, and other business and engineering applications.
  • Strong background in customer service, call center operations, and Windows technical support.
