Registered Nurse MED SURG -MT. SINAI HOSPITAL

Position Overview

Mt. Sinai Hospital is a fast-paced Level 1 Adult teaching hospital located at the corner of Ogden and California near 2 major expressways, serving Chicago’s Westside neighborhoods. We offer nurses an opportunity to expand their knowledge and careers. In this role as part of our In House Registry Nursing Staff, you will provide direct patient care on one of our Teles or Medical/Surgical units while working a self-scheduled rotation (6 shifts plus 3 weekend shifts over six weeks) in a dynamic inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on designated Teles or Med/Surg units with patient capacities ranging from 28-44.
• Perform admission/discharge assessments, shift assessments, education, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
• Maintain a self-scheduled work plan that includes 6 shifts (12 or 8 hour shifts) plus 3 weekend shifts over a six-week period.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high quality and timely patient care in accordance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Valid RN IL License

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior Medical/Surgical and/or Telemetry hospital experience
• Ventilator experience is a plus
