Position Overview
This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S. The Practice Manager is a key leadership role within our Services consulting division, responsible for the technical leadership and personnel management of the Firewall practice. In this role, you will ensure that methodologies and service delivery processes are current, consistently followed, and effectively support high-quality client engagements. As both a people leader and a billable resource, you will oversee delivery standards, participate in client engagements, and mentor team members to ensure ongoing growth and excellence. Location: Fully Remote, Continental U.S.
Salary: $134,600.00 - $184,500.00 Annual
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Lead the Firewall consulting practice by collaborating with senior leadership on strategy and day-to-day operations, ensuring that all methodologies and engagement processes are documented, up to date, and consistently applied.
- Review and approve project deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with customer expectations and statements of work, while actively participating in client engagements such as kickoff calls, on-site meetings, and final presentations.
- Manage staffing decisions in collaboration with Practice Directors, mentor consultants through engagements, and facilitate training plans and performance reviews to drive team development and project success.
- Provide technical expertise and sales enablement support by creating and maintaining pre-sales materials, assisting in technical scoping and SOW reviews, and supporting Account Managers and sales teams.
- Coordinate with subcontractor resources including SOW creation and pipeline tracking to forecast skills needs and ensure proper resourcing.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree or equivalent certifications/work experience in STEM, Computer Science, Cyber Security, etc.
- Experience Required: Minimum 7 years in information security with a strong emphasis on Firewall solutions (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point), 3–5 years managing professional services teams, and significant experience with cybersecurity projects covering risk, compliance, threat management, and digital resilience.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA, HITECH, FISMA, NIST CSF, GDPR, and MITRE ATT&CK.
- Strong leadership, communication (written and verbal), and client interfacing skills.
- Ability to travel up to 40% and work in excess of 40 hours per week as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Qualifications: CISSP or other relevant cybersecurity certifications preferred.
