Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Sales Forecasting and Analytics, the Data Science Manager, Sales Analytics will support commercial teams by designing, implementing, and managing data models, validation controls, and the automation of business reporting solutions. You will manage sales data hierarchies and ensure that all sales data assets are accurate and usable to drive improvements in forecast accuracy and key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create sustainable processes and controls to ensure the validity of core data sources and efficiency of system resources, including leading initiatives such as retailer data ingestion and sales forecasting system optimization.
- Lead collaboration among IT, business partners, and Sales to drive cross-functional alignment and support key sales initiatives by defining, consolidating, and resourcing data requirements.
- Proactively identify and implement solutions and process improvements by continuously learning and applying the latest data management principles, tools, and sources.
- Develop innovative reporting capabilities, cross-functional metrics, and analytical tools to drive data-driven decision making across internal stakeholder groups.
- Oversee an ecosystem of platforms and data sources, advising on proper hierarchy and connection methods while enabling end-user accessibility.
- Uphold high standards of data quality, security, and governance to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain data privacy.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Four-year university degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent professional experience.
- Certification: Microsoft or Cloudera preferred but not required.
- Experience: 3-5 years of data analytics experience implementing strategy; proficiency with MySQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Azure, and VBA; and the ability to extract and transform data from ERP system tables.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills; expertise in data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau); experience with SQL; automation and integration across multiple platforms; and a proven ability to lead cross-functional projects.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and business acumen with a scientific yet pragmatic problem-solving approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's in Business Administration, Predictive Analytics, or Information Sciences.
- Experience with JD Edwards, Hyperion, Oracle, Kinaxis, and Microsoft Power Automate or Fabric.
- Prior experience in sales planning or analytics within a consumer-packaged goods company.

- Competitive Compensation: National Target Base Pay Range: $112,000 - $190,000 (with adjustments for California and New York metro areas: $124,000 - $212,000). Actual compensation is determined by various factors including geographic location, education, experience, and job-related skills.
