Adams & Martin Group is assisting a growing boutique plaintiff-side personal injury firm seeking an experienced Director of Marketing. This role is responsible for marketing strategy, performance, and ROI, and works closely with firm leadership to align marketing investment with business growth goals. This is a great opportunity for someone in a Marketing Manager role who wants to grow their career and move up to a Director position!

The Director of Marketing will initially focus on assessing and optimizing existing marketing efforts, improving performance visibility, and establishing accountability across vendors and internal resources. As systems mature, the role will shift toward higher-level strategy, budget optimization, and scalable growth initiatives.
This position is best suited for a hands-on marketing leader who understands lead-driven businesses, values data and ROI, and can balance strategic leadership with practical execution when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy, Performance & ROI
- Own and execute a data-driven marketing strategy aligned with firm growth objectives
- Define and manage KPIs including cost per lead, lead quality, cost per signed case, and channel ROI
- Partner with the COO and CFO on annual and quarterly marketing budgets and forecasting
- Present clear, actionable performance insights to firm leadership
Vendor & Channel Management
- Manage external vendors across paid search, LSAs, SEO, website, and creative
- Evaluate vendor performance and recommend scaling, optimization, or spend reductions
- Ensure vendors operate with clear expectations, accountability, and reporting
- Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing agencies and partners
Team Leadership
- Directly manage and develop the firm's Marketing Coordinator
- Establish clear roles, priorities, workflows, and performance expectations
- Determine what marketing work should be handled in-house versus outsourced
Systems, Analytics & Reporting
- Ensure accurate call tracking, CRM integration, and lead attribution
- Build and maintain executive-level dashboards and reporting
- Identify and address gaps in data, tracking, or process that impact decision-making
Initial Optimization & Stabilization
- Audit existing marketing channels, spend, vendors, and infrastructure
- Identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
- Lead high-priority initiatives early on, with a clear plan to delegate execution over time

Qualifications
- 5+ years of marketing experience in a lead-driven or service-based business
- Strong experience managing paid media and external agencies
- Proven ability to connect marketing performance to revenue outcomes
- Experience managing budgets and reporting to executive leadership
- Comfortable operating both strategically and hands-on when needed
- Legal or professional services experience preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $110,000 - $130,000 with flexibility based on experience
- Performance bonus: 10-20% annually, tied to agreed-upon ROI and performance metrics
