Position Overview
Kipsu is a growth stage Minneapolis‐based technology company partnering with leading hospitality and healthcare brands. As a Cybersecurity & IT Analyst, you will safeguard Kipsu’s digital infrastructure by monitoring security threats, managing identity and access controls, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing hands‐on IT support to maintain a resilient technology ecosystem. You’ll contribute to a team that values a strong culture, collaboration, and continuous growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and maintain organizational desktop systems, hardware, network, and user access.
- Provide end-user support; track, document, and create SOPs for troubleshooting.
- Manage regular penetration testing and vulnerability scanning processes and coordinate remediation efforts.
- Facilitate quarterly security reviews and communicate findings to management.
- Contribute to software test script reviews for data leakage.
- Ensure that information security milestones and goals are met within approved budgets.
- Recommend, implement, configure, and integrate new technologies and systems to enhance efficiency and security.
- Conduct periodic policy/process assessments and update or create new processes.
- Design and facilitate internal training and tabletop exercises to strengthen the security culture.
- Coordinate responses to information security incidents.
- Complete security questionnaires for current and prospective clients.
- Design and maintain a data disclosure database based on client agreements.
- Align company policies to SOC 2, ISO 27000 series, and HIPAA security frameworks.
- Identify information security risks and recommend strategies to address them.
- Champion privacy and security initiatives and benchmark the security program against industry standards.
- Coordinate regular internal and third-party compliance audits and participate in cybersecurity-related insurance renewals.
- Manage IT asset inventories, technology partner agreements, and data processing addendum requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related field (or equivalent 3-5 years experience).
- Passion for staying updated with cybersecurity advancements, threats, and trends.
- Willingness to collaborate closely with software engineers on technical security topics.
- Experience with configuring and maintaining security monitoring and reporting platforms.
- Proficiency in writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions such as Okta.
- Working knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems like Jamf Pro.
- Familiarity with Atlassian products (JSM, Confluence, Jira).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and strong computer literacy.
- Exceptional attention to detail and phenomenal organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- A bias for action with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
- Additional certifications, training, or experience related to IT security policy or compliance are strongly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking skills to align solutions with the organization’s vision.
