Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Tyndall AFB to support multiple federal projects in construction and engineering. This role is located in Location: Panama City, FL and offers Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview. The candidate must be a US Citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering services on several simultaneous federal projects ranging from tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars in construction value.
  • Oversee site observation and report findings to government personnel on multiple assigned projects.
  • Deliver technical and administrative support, including construction oversight, contract administration, and quality assurance activities in accordance with established policies and regulations.
  • Analyze design and construction issues with respect to contract requirements and provide recommendations for compliance.
  • Review and interpret plans, specifications, submittals, reports, schedules, modifications, cost estimates, pay applications, change orders, and claims.
  • Participate in pre-construction conferences with government personnel.
  • Apply expertise in HVAC systems, system controls, building automation, chilled water, plumbing, humidification, data centers, and other complex mechanical engineering elements.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen and pass a federal background review and drug screen.
  • Minimum of 10 years of engineering, construction, and contract administration experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in effective oral and written communications in English.
  • Professional presentation with excellent client and contractor interaction skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.).
  • Experience with Army Corp of Engineering (USACE) or other federal projects.
  • Experience using RMS 3.0.
