Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the logistics operations of multiple Costco locations in the designated area.
- Ensure efficient supply chain processes are in place and maintained.
- Monitor inventory levels and make necessary adjustments to meet customer demand.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate and secure favorable pricing and terms.
- Maintain effective communication with all levels of management and staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Hire, train, and manage a team of logistics staff to ensure high quality performance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and carriers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise in the supply chain process.
- Continuously strive to improve customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve logistics operations.
- Prepare and present reports on logistics performance to senior management.
- Create and implement contingency plans to mitigate any potential disruptions in the supply chain.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and uphold the company's values and standards.
- Collaborate with other Area Managers to share best practices and drive consistency across locations.
