IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/INFOSEC)

Position Overview

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is a critical role supporting the mission of the US Cyber Command at the DISA CLOUD OPERATIONS SECTION within the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain all types of servers, software, and essential IT infrastructure both on-premise and off-premise.
• Ensure the optimal design, deployment, and management of cloud resources across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Oversee, process, and control the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud-based services with emphasis on scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement cloud-specific security measures to ensure data protection and compliance.
• Collaborate with IT teams and cloud service providers to guarantee a seamless and efficient cloud experience.
• Foster strong relationships with technology vendors to ensure top-tier support and products.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen; males born after 12/31/59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
• Successful completion of a suitability review and possession of the required security clearance due to access to classified information.
• Experience managing multiple operating systems (Windows & Unix) and administering cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle, Stratus).
• Demonstrated skills in Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
• Must meet the GG-13 qualifying experience requirements with at least one year of relevant experience.
• Compensation: Salary will be adjusted to meet locality pay and may exceed the stated maximum salary range under certain circumstances.
